    SageWest Health Care CEO John Ferrelli to retire

    Fremont County, Wyo. (September 29, 2021)SageWest Health Care today announced that its chief executive officer (CEO) John Ferrelli is retiring. Healthcare veteran Bob Singletary succeeds Ferrelli as interim CEO. He will be onsite at SageWest beginning October 4 to ensure a smooth transition for employees, medical staff, patients and community members. 

    “We are grateful for John’s commitment to fulfilling our mission of making communities healthier in Fremont County,” said Sandy Podley, Western Division President, LifePoint Health. “During his tenure at SageWest, John has seen the team through one of the most extraordinary crises healthcare has faced in a century. He leaves a legacy of dedicated leadership, and we wish him all the best in his retirement.”

    Ferrelli retires after more than three decades of healthcare leadership throughout the U.S. He became CEO of SageWest in April 2019 and has worked to strengthen the quality of care and grow the services provided at SageWest’s campuses.

    Interim CEO Bob Singletary is a veteran hospital CEO with extensive experience in navigating leadership transitions. Singletary and Ferrelli will work together to ensure a seamless transition internally and externally.

    A national search for Ferrelli’s permanent replacement has been initiated, and SageWest will keep its communities apprised of its progress.
