Board certified Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose and Throat specialist) joins SageWest to expand services available to Fremont County residents
SageWest Health Care is pleased to announce that Melissa Hertler, M.D., has joined its staff and will be offering services for both children and adults with conditions related to the ears, nose and throat. Dr. Hertler is one of several new physicians to begin practicing in Fremont County this year as SageWest continues to grow healthcare services.

Dr. Hertler has more than 12 years of experience with the medical and surgical care of adult and pediatric patients with ear, nose and throat issues, as well as additional training and interest in the management of allergies. She joins SageWest most recently from Alliance ENT and Hearing Center in Milwaukee, Wis., where she had a busy ENT and allergy practice since 2010. The desire to get out of the big city, and feel as though she were making a real difference in her community brought her and her family to Fremont County.
She completed a residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, N.M., and earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wis. Her undergraduate degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Wisconsin and subsequent research in environmental toxicology, helps her to keep in mind the many factors that may impact a patient’s health and development of disease.
Dr. Hertler is accepting new patients at Wind River Ear, Nose and Throat located at 15 Shrine Club Road in Lander. She will also be seeing patients at the Wind River Clinic located at 1005 College View Drive in Riverton.
