Last week, a handful of employees of SageWest Health Care and their families joined together in support of the recent tragedy which engulfed much of Texas. A trailer was packed with various items, such as food, bottled water and other household necessities and supplies. SageWest Nurse Supervisor, Marcie Burr’s husband George (Rooster) Burr has left for Texas earlier this week to deliver the items and has already been back for a 2nd trailer load. Burr plans to leave again on the 26th and stay for an extended trip to help in any way he can.
SageWest is proud to recognize and thank these outstanding employees. “Our employees spend an incredible amount of time caring for others in their work. This is just one example of the caring culture at SageWest not only for the communities we serve but for others as well,” expressed Alan Daugherty, CEO of SageWest Health Care.
SageWest Health Care is also proud to be affiliated with LifePoint Health which has made a generous donation of $50,000 to Feeding Texas, the state’s leading food bank, as well as $50,000 to the American Red Cross – all to support hurricane relief efforts.
Additionally, LifePoint will be matching the first $100,000 of employee contributions for Hurricane Harvey relief made through the LifePoint Disaster Response Fund. The fund helps provide necessary funding so communities can begin to pick up the pieces after tragedy strikes.
