It is with great pride and appreciation that we recognize our SageWest Employee of the Month for October, Janet Day, dietary services cook.
Janet Day is described as a “High Five Employee” by her peers. She lives by the Standards for Healing in every detail of her work. In all her interactions with patients and customers at SageWest Janet goes above and beyond with her service to ensure an exceptional experiences for our patients and visitors. Patient safety is a top priority. Janet never waivers from policy and procedure for the safety and quality of those we serve.
Without question, Janet is a positive team player with an exceptional customer service attitude. She ensures each patient is properly positioned before placing meal trays, addresses cleanliness of their tray table so each patient can enjoy a safe, quality nutritious meal. Interacting and rounding with her patients comes with ease for Janet. It’s not out of the ordinary for patients to send notes to the kitchen noting Janet’s quality efforts.
Not only is she extremely professional but her kindness is contagious. She has been called mentor by many within her work group as she positively trained and guided them to success. An advocate for all, Janet cares about her coworkers and goes out of her way to make their day better.
