    Rustler Volleyball ends regular season 7-3

    Central hosted Casper College and Western Wyoming CC this past Friday and Saturday, in what would be the Rustlers’ last two regular season matches.  The Rustlers beat rival Casper College on Friday in four sets and swept Western Wyoming CC on Saturday.

    It was a big win for the Rustlers on Friday night, as all sophomores were recognized.  Sophomore Sage Bearnson would lead the Rustlers in total kills with 17. Ava Rasmussen and Makenzie Templeton each added nine.  Two-time NJCAA Defender of the Week,Alondra Hernandez, led the Rustlers on defense with a total of 33 digs.

    The Rustlers would end up sweeping Western Wyoming during their back-to-back matches.  Freshman Makenzie Templeton led Central to its victory with 15 kills. Sage Bearnson added 14 kills and Ava Rasmussen and Mary Moyle added seven each.  Freshman Sofie Langer had a total of 32 assists.

    The Rustlers will head into the Region IX Tournament seeded 2nd in the North Sub-Region with a conference record of 7-3.  Central will play the winner of Western Wyoming and McCook Community College on Wednesday at 1pm in Casper.
