    RTO’s Joe Stanbury is retiring!

After 44 wonderful years in the tire business at RTO in Riverton, Wyoming, Joe Stanbury has decided to be a professional retiree!

Joe graduated from Montana State University in 1977 and then returned to his hometown to work at the family business, Riverton Tire & Oil, now known as RTO POINT S. The business was started by his dad Sam in 1961.

In 1994, Joe purchased the business from Sam & Harold Goetzinger so they could retire. Eventually, he joined up with Tire Factory, now called Point S. We all know, Joe has made a lot of GOOD tire decisions. Joining up with Tire Factory was the BEST tire business decision Joe ever made!!

Joe’s passion has always been helping folks put on the safest tires possible. After all, the main thing between you and the highway is your tires, especially in our tough Wyoming winter conditions. Since RTO is a complete auto, light truck, and heavy truck service center with a huge inventory of tires, Joe has been living his passion for all these years.

Joe is especially proud of his long-term employees, including six who have a combined 175 years with RTO Point S. And this is not including Joe! Add on 44 and we’ve got a lot of tire experience!

“Because of our awesome employees, RTO POINT S has become the successful business that it is today!”

Joe has always believed in shopping local and the great County he calls home. And Fremont County believes in Joe! This is proven by all the long-standing, faithful RTO customers. In the past 44 years, Joe has built a relationship with the people of Fremont County and shown how much he cares with the various ways he continually gives back to his community.

“We have been blessed and in return we support our community. We not only think of RTO POINT S as our business all these years, but also as a way to help out our wonderful community.”

Joe & Rose would like to thank God and their family along with all the employees, customers, and vendors that they have had the pleasure to know all these 44 years.

In his new endeavor, Joe will specialize in being an attentive husband but mainly he will be specializing in the game of golf. Joe has always been a golf enthusiast and is super excited to spend lazy days on the golf course. It may be too late for him to go Pro but that won’t stop him from practicing like it isn’t!

Joe will continue giving back to his community and helping out even more at St. Margaret’s Catholic School. When he’s in town that is. Joe and Rose plan on traveling often to see the grandchildren. There is also motorcycle touring and dirt bike riding with grandchildren to be had! Of course, his wonderful wife Rose will always have the last say. Happy wife, happy life!

Joe and Rose will be turning over the handlebars to their son Brent and daughter-in-law Rochelle Sheldon and wish them continued success on their new journey!

God Bless America, our Military & their families!
