Riverton Police Captain Todd Byerly confirmed that they are investigating an assault case that took place Sunday afternoon at 12:41 p.m. in a residence in on College Hill Dr.
Byerly said the victim was a 33-year-old woman who, “sustained an approximate 2″ laceration to her right arm and another to her left hand that appeared to have been caused by a sharp object. The incident has been turned over to RPD Detectives for further follow-up and investigation.”
Two men were arrested at the incident. 28-year-old Joshua Headley of Riverton was arrested for battery, and 31-year-old Lamar Duran of Arapahoe was arrested for aggravated assault and trespassing.
It is unclear at this time if and how those arrested were involved in the incident. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
