Riverton’s Chris Quayle headed back to NCAA Tournament with North Dakota State

Former Riverton Wolverine and Central Wyoming College Rustler, Chris Quayle, is heading back to the NCAA Basketball Tournament for a second year in a row with the North Dakota State Bison.

On March 10th, NDSU beat rivals North Dakota 89-53 in the Summit League Championship game. The Bison improved to 25-8 on the season and qualify for an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.


Quayle is a senior for NDSU. Last season he played in 32 games and started in 5 games. He averaged 2.1 ppg and 1.8 rebounds per game. So far this season, Chris has played in 31 games, averages 1.7 ppg.

North Dakota State was a 16 seed last year and played in a “First Four” game in Dayton, Ohio. They beat North Carolina Central 78-74. That advanced them to play the east’s number one seeded, Duke Blue Devils. Duke beat NDSU 85-62.

The 2020 bracket will be announced Sunday, March 15th.
