“#rivertonbiz, shares the stories of local movers and shakers of our Fremont County economy.“
(Riverton, WY) – An alternative to the rubber mats for stock trailers, barns, and more is now available right here in Fremont County. Riverton resident Bret Sowards recently became certified in WERM Flooring Systems and opened WERM of Wyoming, the very first in the state.
WERM, which stands for We Eliminate Rubber Mats, is a permanent, cushioned, nonporous rubber flooring system that is impervious to liquids and eliminates the need for rubber mats in places like horse and livestock trailers, according to Sowards.
Just hose off the WERM flooring to clean it instead of removing, cleaning, drying, and then doing it all over again. This flooring can be installed on concrete, aluminum, steel, wood, or pretty much any other permanent surface, Sowards shared.
“Typically people install it in their trailers, barns, cattle chutes, goat stands, and even have custom-made mats.”
Before Sowards became an official WERM Flooring Systems dealer, the closest place was Denver. Now, just head over to 2641 Airport Drive in Riverton to check out WERM of Wyoming.
The installation time varies on the area size, however, Sowards shared a 32′ trailer only took about 2.5 hours. The mix of 1/8″ rubber pellets and liquid is spread into the area and then trowled into 5/8″ flooring.
