#RivertonBiz: New place to purchase gear coming soon to Riverton’s Main Street

#rivertonbiz, brought to you by Grace Andrus with Edward Jones, shares the stories of the local movers and shakers of our Fremont County economy.

You may have spotted “The Book Hunter” van tooling around Riverton and maybe thought about calling the number to have them take the stockpile of dusty books off your hands. I know I’ve thought about it.

Owners David and Brenda Stringham have been recycling books for a few years and have decided to open the “Wyoming Outdoor Gear Exchange” (WOGE) at 303 East Main Street in Riverton. David shared he has owned a few businesses like this in Wyoming over the years and is excited to open this location in Riverton.

The WOGE will provide high quality used outdoor gear at affordable prices. Folks will be able to purchase new-to-them quality gear, as well as, sell, consign or trade the gear they no longer use. Along with having an eye-catching storefront, David noted, the gear will be available for purchase on their website as well. He’s already shipped items internationally.

They are not stopping the book hunting, though. A designated area for books called the “Charity Room” is already setup in the store. Folks can put a donation in the little black charity box for the books they take. The money collected in the charity box will be distributed to different charities, David explained.

The official opening of WOGE depends on the community and products coming into the store. If you’ve got quality outdoor gear sitting around that you don’t know what to do with, give them a call, and set up an appointment. Phone numbers for appointments are shared below:
