#RivertonBiz: Local business owners launch new side-by-side rooftop rack for outdoor adventures

#rivertonbiz, shares the stories of local movers and shakers of our Fremont County economy.

(Riverton, WY) – Born out of a love for kayaking and side-by-side adventures in Fremont County’s expansive outdoor playground; local business owners Travis and Eyvette Becker recently launched Rigel Racks, a side-by-side universal rack system.

This versatile rack can not only carry two kayaks at the same time on your backcountry adventures but it can also hold a canoe, paddleboards, or anything else you can fit in it.

After three years of development, around six design iterations and a year of intense mountain testing, the Beckers finally have this one-of-a-kind system in the patent process. “There’s nothing like it out there,” Travis noted.

Looking to utilize local businesses as much as possible, Rigel Racks are made by Downey Welding on Missouri Valley Road.

Constructed of 1-inch tubular steel, they are one-size fits most 2-4 seater side-by-sides. They mount directly to the roof or roll cage brackets are available for those with a cloth roof. When not in use, the rack folds down.

Rigel Racks are available for purchase at both Wild West Powersports in Riverton and Wind River Power Sports in Lander or online. Its MSRP is $449 (that does not include installation).
