#RivertonBiz: Economic boost in Riverton expected from 2 conferences scheduled in 2020
Riverton Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ashley Stickland shared Riverton will host two 3-day/2-night conferences during the 2020 calendar year. Ashley noted, “The influx of people for these few days will provide an increase in labor hours, consumption of goods & services, and will bring in money to the community.”
The first conference is planned for the last week of July 2020. Week of Academic Vision and Excellence (WAVE) – Special Education Conference will bring an estimated 350 people per night into Riverton.
The second conference is planned for either September or October 2020. Wyoming Economic Development Association/Wyoming State Chamber of Commerce (WEDA/WSCC) will bring an estimated 120-180 people per night into Riverton.
Ashley says, “Let us [Riverton Chamber of Commerce] know if you want to include anything in our welcome packets that we are putting together, notify us of any events that you may have going on so we can include that in with the information, any special sales, discount coupons, information, etc. We will gladly take to help drive traffic to your area. The Organizations will be setting up activities for the attendees as well as info about things going on around town. The more info you give, the better!”
