All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Chorissa Dickinson, 38, of Riverton is facing five counts of Fraud by Check.
On August 17, 2020 the Riverton Police Department began investigating a series of insufficient check funds written to five different Riverton businesses.
Court documents show that between May 2020 and June 2020 Dickinson wrote 15 insufficient checks totaling more than $13,000 at the five different businesses.
On November 5, Dickinson waived her preliminary hearing. The matter will be transferred to District Court for arraignment at a later date.
Fraud by Check is a felony and punishable by up to 10 years of imprisonment and a $10,000.
