    Riverton West Main Street public meeting scheduled for May 28th

    A public meeting about the $3.28 million U.S. 26 (Riverton West Main ADA/Major and Main traffic signal) project is planned to begin at 6:30 pm on Thursday, May 28th, at Riverton City Hall.

    WYDOT is encouraging residents to attend either in person or watch on the City of Riverton’s YouTube Channel by clicking here. If attending by YouTube, you may ask questions by emailing [email protected] during the broadcast to ask questions or make comments. The contractor S&S Builders, LLC, of Gillette, and WYDOT will be available for questions.

    The U.S. 26 project is 2.05 miles in length. It includes installation of a traffic signal system and rebuilt Major Avenue/West Main Street (U.S. 26) intersection, Americans with Disabilities Act improvements at every street corner between the end of the concrete pavement in downtown Riverton and West Main Street’s intersection with Hill Street at the west end of the Central Wyoming College campus in Riverton.

    This project is scheduled to begin in early June with the reconstruction of the Major Avenue/West Main Street intersection. Contract completion date is Nov. 30, 2020.
