Free buttery, hot grilled corn on the cob…Yummy! Corn Fest at the Wednesday Farmers Market

A big thank you to our sponsor Wyoming Community Bank for bringing you this content on County 10.

It is the Third Annual CORN FEST at the Wednesday Farmers Market!

This Wednesday, starting at 5 pm, we’ll be grilling and serving up fresh local sweet corn, provided by Sage Valley Farms. Come on down for a free buttery, hot grilled ear and plan to pick up more fresh corn to take home. Our thanks to Eric for grilling the corn and to DeeAnn for providing her special herbed and seasoned butter. We have lots of local producers selling corn.

And lots of other vegetables as well! Tom and Ernie are rockin’ the tomatoes: regular slicers, as well as scrumptious, unusual heirlooms. Garold and Rita have lovely beets, carrots, onions, new potatoes, green beans, unique cucumbers. Other producers have cauliflower, cabbages, broccoli, kohlrabi, lemon cucs, zucchini, and yellow crooknecks. Look for fresh flowers, herbs like basil, parsley, and dill, and there are always surprises!

And of course: great cookies, cinnamon rolls, fruit bread, cheesecakes, and pies. Don’t forget the staples: milk, eggs, cheese, meats (both beef and pork). The Wednesday Market can provide your food needs from local gardens and kitchens.

Remember Wednesday, Aug. 28th at 5 pm Riverton City Park for the Farmers Market

    and Corn Fest!
