Riverton street signs to get replaced, new look

(Riverton, WY) – Riverton residents may have noticed bright and shiny street signs with the City’s new logo popping up around town.

According to City Administrator Tony Tolstedt, the new logo will be implemented on signs, the new balloon and vehicles as they are purchased. This is in addition to the use of the new logo on regular correspondence and advertising.

The changing of the signs is due to a number of reasons.

“Obviously, we changed the logo recently and would like our street signs to reflect the new logo,” Tolstedt stated. “Additionally we want our signs to comply with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) with regard to items such as size and reflectivity.”

Signs are replaced periodically as a matter of regular maintenance. Full replacement of the old signs should be completed within two years.
