Riverton REDDI Report helps police arrest two men

After a few Riverton good samaritans called local law enforcement about a possible drunk driver in town, two men were arrested Monday, one of them for driving under the influence.

REDDI, or “Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately” began in 2010 thanks to the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Since then, hundreds of drunk drivers have been stopped from continuing behind the wheel thanks to motorists helping law enforcement with tips.

Just after 11:00 a.m. Monday, a REDDI report was filed about an SUV that nearly hit 3 separate vehicles on 1st Street in Riverton. Near the intersection of Main and 1st Street, the Riverton Police Department stopped the vehicle. 26-year-old Ethete resident Alfred Spoonhunter was arrested from driving under the influence and 28-year-old Taylor Yellowbear from Arapahoe was also arrested in the incident for a Fremont County Warrant.
