Riverton Potter’s work included in Governor’s Capitol Art Exhibition in Cheyenne
Some of Wyoming’s finest artists, including a Riverton woman, will be recognized during the 2018 Governor’s Capitol Art Exhibition reception at the Wyoming State Museum Thursday, March 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The works of 30 artists representing 11 Wyoming counties are included in this year’s Governor’s Capitol Art Exhibition. Included in the exhibit is a green glazed ceramic platter by Joy Jones of Riverton.
Now in its 18th year, the juried exhibition will be on display from March 5 through June 5 at the Wyoming State Museum in Cheyenne. Works receiving purchase awards will join the museum’s prestigious art collections.
Works receiving purchase awards, people’s choice award, Governor’s choice award and Bobby Hathaway juror’s choice award will be announced during the reception. All works in the exhibition are for sale.
