(Riverton, WY) – Riverton Police Department Captain Wes Romero presented department statistics for the top 10 calls for service between 2017 and 2021 at the Riverton City Council meeting Tuesday night.

Several of the categories have seen a decrease in calls for service including agency assist, ambulance/medical assist, citizen assist, traffic accident with property damage and welfare check. The most drastic drop in calls has been in the intoxicated person category, which has seen a decrease of over 1,000 in the last five years.

Mayor Richard Gard praised the department and its leadership. He noted that the numbers look as though they are in pretty good shape and commended the chief and officers for doing their jobs so well.
