The City of Riverton is accepting applications for the position of Patrol Officer.
The Patrol Division is made up of the uniformed officers who primarily respond to calls for service, investigate traffic collisions, and make the majority of the arrests. Their officers work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week protecting the community. As a Patrol Officer, you can expect to work four, ten hour days a week.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Applicant must pass a physical assessment, complete background check, and a psychological exam with the Riverton Police Department. All applicants must take an entry level exam, unless applicant has equivalent experience. Applicant must have the ability to obtain the Wyoming Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Commission certification within one year of employment.
SALARY: The pay range for this position is $20.03 to $25.88 per hour. The City of Riverton also offers a benefit package which includes health insurance and retirement.
