Riverton Man Facing Felony Charges of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the Second Degree
(Riverton, Wyo.) – After waiving his preliminary hearing in Circuit Court, Triston Gordon Ehle of Riverton has been transferred to District Court to face felony charges of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the Second Degree. If found guilty by the court, Ehle could face up to 20 years in prison.
An affidavit filed with the district court in Lander alleges that Ehle was engaged in sexual intercourse with a minor.
After the main resident of the home reported the incident to probation and parole officers, Ehle admitted to having sexual contact with a girl but told officers that he had thought that the girl was 17 years of age. Officers determined that the girl was not 17 years of age and that there was, in fact, a difference in age of 4 years and 10 months, between Ehle and the girl, constituting a violation of state statutes pertaining to sexual abuse of a minor.
