    Riverton Jackalope Jump raises over $7,000

    (Riverton, WY) – Friends, family and Special Olympics athletes were “Freezin’ for a Reason” just after 11 am today, March 19th in the Riverton City Hall parking lot after taking a cool dip the for annual Special Olympics Jackalope Jump fundraiser.

    After a year hiatus due to the pandemic, participants this year brought in a total of $7,300, according to the latest update from Special Olympics Riverton.

    Winners from the competition are as follows:

    • Eliana Sanders raised the most individual money – $988.
    • Emergency Rescue Team raised the most team money – $2,253.
    • Joe Irvin was the Special Olympic athlete who raised the most money – $250.
    • Biggest group – Jackalope Smackdown
    • Best costume – Team Spidey
