    Riverton hits triple digits Tuesday

    (Fremont County, WY) – Today was the second day in a row of record-breaking temps here in the 10, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton who released the list of high temps this evening.

    For Fremont County, Riverton came in at 100° crushing its previous record of 87° set in 2016. Lander hit 98° today, also pushing their previous record of 92° set in 1931 out of the way.

    Though we were a tad on the toasty side of things, for the NWSR monitoring area, Campbell County’s Echeta had the highest mercury on the thermometer today with a 109° followed closely by Greybull with 108°.

    Temps are expected to drop just a little for the remainder of the week but will remain in the 80s and 90s. So, stay diligent and safe with best practices for beating the heat.
