Riverton High School to hold job fair, ‘Adulting Class’ in May

(Riverton, WY) – On May 6, from 12PM to 2:30PM, Riverton High School will host it’s first ever job fair, for “all students who come dressed for success!”

The fair is open to all high school students, as well as any businesses or employers looking for part-time summer help, or even long-term employment.

“Businesses not hiring teens but just wanting to get their information out to the public are also encouraged to attend,” stated Natalie Krusemeier, one of the event’s organizers. “We want to give our students as many opportunities as possible to see what potential jobs and careers are available to them.”

Natalie’s contact information for any interested employers can be found in the flyer below.

Also happening the same day, May 6, from 8:15AM to 11:15AM, will be an Adulting Fair for freshmen students, where they will travel in groups to various stations to learn a different ‘adulting’ skill.

For this event, community members will teach students a skill, ranging from checking the fluids in their vehicle, to lease requirements, to folding a fitted sheet.

“The Adulting Fair is in response to student feedback,” Krusemeier explained. “Many students claim that we don’t teach them enough real life skills in school, so ‘Adulting Day’ is something we came up with to address that sentiment, and also as a reward for completing state testing and just being overall awesome all year.”

    Mark your calendars!
