Riverton High School students will soon need ZPass to board the bus

Starting March 16th, Riverton High School (RHS) bus riders are required to have the ZPass card to board the bus. The high schoolers will pilot the program for the rest of this school year before it will be rolled out district-wide in the fall.

Fremont County School District #25 (FCSD #25) buses were equipped with the Zonar component system a few years ago that included the ZPass RFID reader, District Transportation Supervisor Tracy Shepardson shared. The system offers electronic logs, GPS route tracking, EVIR driver inspection, maintenance monitoring, and more. The district provided the ZPass as an opt-in option after Zonar was installed, but it reportedly fell by the wayside.

Beginning in March, high schoolers will be issued their ZPass card prior to the 16th. The Riverton High School Facebook page has been sharing regular updates about the implementation as well.
