(Riverton, WY) – Riverton residents may have been confused and concerned Tuesday evening, when the fire sirens at the Riverton Fire Department sounded multiple time throughout the night.
County 10 began receiving reports and questions about the sirens around 7:30 PM last night, with the alarms continuing through almost 9:00 PM.
Riverton Fire Chief Brian Hutchins confirmed Wednesday morning that there was an electrical issue with the siren control box.
Hutchins also confirmed the issue is being taken care of today, and shouldn’t cause any further problems.
