    Riverton Art Banner Project winners to be announced Wednesday

    (Riverton, WY) – Two Fremont County artists have been selected for the first-ever Riverton Art Banner Project. They will be announced at the Riverton Public Library on Wednesday, August 4th, at 11 am.

    Overall, 19 paintings were submitted to the project’s call for Fremont County artists in June. A public voting period was held between July 6th-20th while the paintings were on display at the Riverton Public Library and the Riverton Museum – 161 votes were cast.

    The two winning artists will receive $250 each, which was donated by RTO Point S. This project was made possible by funding from the local economic development organization, Idea, Inc.

    “Their support is truly making Riverton the ‘City of Great Works,'” shared organizers Hal Herron and Mike Martin. “It is the goal of the Banner Project to display the winning paintings as banners within one year.”
