    Riverton and Lander basketball teams head to regionals this week

    Last weekend, Wyoming high school basketball’s 1A and 2A teams went to regionals. This weekend, classes 3A and 4A enter post-season play while 1A/2A goes to Casper’s state touranment.

    Lander Valley High School will compete at the 3A West Regional in Lyman Thursday-Saturday. The Tiger boys take the #1 seed from the Northwest after winning a tie-breaking coin flip with Worland. LVHS plays Pinedale on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

    The Lander ladies are the second seed from the northwest and will also open play against Pinedale at 12:00 p.m. Thursday.

    Riverton competes at the 4A West Regional in Evanston. The RHS girls take the 3rd seed from the northwest and will open Thursday against Star Valley at 10:30 a.m.

    Immediately following the girls game Thursday, the Riverton boys also play Star Valley at noon. The Wolverines are the 4th seed from the northwest.

    Wyoming Indian’s Lady Chiefs won the 2A West Regional tournament again this year in Riverton last weekend. The Lady Chiefs, Wyoming Indian boys, and St. Stephens boys are all headed to the state tournament.
