    Richard Desmond Gould

Richard Gould passed away May 4, 2019, at his home in Lander, Wyoming. He was 56 years old. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 11, at the Elks Lodge in Lander, Wyoming. Cremation has taken place.

Richard Desmond Gould was born January 15, 1963, in Brighton, Colorado, to Bruce Desmond Gould and Carol Diane (Gould) Williams. He married the love of his life, Coleen Hendrickson, on May 13, 2014, in Jeffrey City, Wyoming.

Richard had opportunities to live in many places throughout the West, but he spent most of his life in Lander, which he considered home. He served in the Army. He was involved in the Elks Lodge as a past exalted ruler and was currently functioning as the esquire. He took his involvement with the Elks very seriously and loved being a member.

Richard’s hobbies included horsehair hitching, rock hunting, collecting old artifacts, being in the desert and mountains, hunting, Dutch oven cooking, and golfing. He was an avid reader, especially Larry McMurtry books, and enjoyed old Western movies.

His ultimate passion was cowboying. While his occupation wasn’t always on a ranch, his heart was always with the cows. His lifelong goal was to have his own cattle, which he achieved earlier this year.

Survivors include: Daughters Christina (Seth) George, of Laramie, Wyoming; Amanda (Jesse) Jones, of Casper, Wyoming; and Heather (Dusty) Gould, of Lander; grandchildren Ashli, Emmalie, Jenna, and Austin Jones; Haileigh, Jeffery, Rylee, and Kennedi Rushing; Bronson George; and Aedryn and Sephryn Hendrickson; parents Bruce (Peggy) Gould of Soda Springs, Idaho, and Carol Diane Williams of Riverton, Wyoming; many siblings; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Coleen Gould; grandparents Fred and Doris Gould, Ellen McDonald, and Glen Pickett; and brother, Brian Gould.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Elks Lodge in Lander in his name would be greatly appreciated.
