(Casper, WY) – The Riverton High School (RHS) Speech and Debate team took first place for the 7th time this season, and this time at the biggest tournament of the year, Natrona’s Mustang Classic.
Awards went to the following individuals on the RHS team:
Carly Thornton – 1st in Poetry, 3rd in Humor, 5th in POI
Kaia Tippets – 1st in Impromptu, 6th in POI, Quarter finals in Extemp
Shannyn Krietzer – 1st in DUO with Ashtin Griffin, Humor semi finals
Ashtin Griffin – 1st in DUO with Shannyn Krietzer
Cody Heard – 2ndin DUO with Lilly and semi finals in Humor
Noah Smith – 6th in HumorLilly Archer – 2nd in DUO with Cody
Ayana Mejorado – Congressional Debate semi finalist
Kylar Bennett – 3rd place in Policy Debate with Wyatt McOmie
Wyatt McOmie – 3rd place in Policy Debate with Kylar Bennett
The team travels to Jackson this upcoming weekend.
