(Riverton, WY) – Riverton Fire Chief Brian Hutchins has provided additional information regarding the Monday, June 14th structure fire on Foxtail Lane.
Riverton Fire was dispatched to a shed fire, and upon arrival, “it was found to be 3 structures and an outbuilding fully involved, with 2 vehicles also involved.”
The fire reportedly started from a burn barrel, catching the shed on fire. The homeowner did receive some minor burns, and the family lost several pets in the fire.
RFD responded with 17 men and 4 apparatus, with mutual aid provided by Fremont County Fire Protection District (FFPD) Battalions #1 and #4.
The structure fire also started a large grass fire, approximately 2 acres.
