Multiple reports have indicated a major crash occurred on Wyoming Interstate 80 Sunday evening between Rawlins and Wamsutter.
Wyoming Highway Patrol has confirmed the crash, but further details have not been provided at this point. The Wyoming Department of Transportation’s wyoroad.info also confirms the crash.
According to online reports from the “Wyoming Road and Weather Conditions Reports Updates” Facebook group, the crash took place around milemarker 184.
Several stretches of Interstate 80 were shut down throughout Sunday afternoon due to weather and crashes. As of 9:20 p.m. Sunday night, WYDOT projects the Wamsutter area of Interstate 80 will be closed for 14-16 hours. I-80 westbound from Laramie to the Wamusutter area is closed.
