(Riverton, WY) – Rendezvous Elementary celebrated its second year as a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) school today, October 29th.
COVID presented a set of difficulties for educators and through all of those, which included the Smart Start Plan, Rendezvous was still able to grow in its core content areas, shared Principal Karly Ward.
Educators filed into the gym Friday morning ready for what they thought was training but were surprised to learn they would be getting a much-needed Friends-themed coffee break instead.
(County 10) A parody of the Friends theme song, “I’ll Be There For You” was performed (County 10)
A PLC is “an ongoing process in which educators work collaboratively in recurring cycles of collective inquiry and action research to achieve better results for the students they serve,” according to the website. “Professional learning communities operate under the assumption that the key to improved learning for students is continuous job-embedded learning for educators.”
