Red Cross to honor Wyoming organization, Hunting with Heroes

(Cheyenne, WY) – Hunting with Heroes, a Wyoming organization whose commitment to giving back to our nation’s disabled veterans is remarkable.

For the heroic and lifesaving mission of Hunting with Heroes, Dan Currah and Colton Sasser will receive the 2022 Services to the Armed Forces Hero of the Year award at the American Red Cross of Colorado and Wyoming Rocky Mountain Heroes Soirée.

Hunting with Heroes is a Wyoming organization founded by veterans for veterans. Their mission is to give back to our nation’s disabled veterans by honoring them with unique hunting, fishing and other outdoor experiences. They offer a progressive healing environment where disabled veterans are welcome and supported – a community where they can discover hope again, no matter what battles they continue to fight physically or emotionally.

The mission of the American Red Cross was born on the battlefield through Clara Barton’s care for Civil War soldiers. Today, we continue to serve the U.S. military community from the time a service member takes the oath to navigating life as a veteran. Hunting with Heroes’ mission parallels the Red Cross’ vow to help members of the military, veterans, their families and caregivers prepare for, manage and respond to the challenges of service.

The Rocky Mountain Heroes Soirée is a celebration of the Red Cross spirit as exemplified in lifesaving heroes in Colorado and Wyoming. Find out more about the Rocky Mountain Heroes Soirée on our website.
