    Record number of voters reported in Fremont County for the General Election

    As of November 3rd, the total votes cast in Fremont County hit 18,234, according to the Fremont County Election Office.

    An additional 7,559 Fremont County residents voted during the General Election compared to the August Primary Election. Numbers dating back to 1994 show that a large increase in voter turnout for the General Election is a typical pattern.

    Prior to this election, the record holder for voter turnout in Fremont County was for the 2008 General Election – 17,715 votes were cast.

    Full results can be found on the County 10 Election page and the Fremont County website offers several different breakdowns as well. All votes are still considered unofficial until certified by the local and state officials.

    Local canvassing is happening on November 5th at 1:00 pm in the Fremont County Courthouse. This will certify the votes for County Commission seats and below.

    The State will certify the votes for District seats and up this week as well.
