    Record high temperatures set in Lander, Riverton yesterday

    (Fremont County, WY) – Amid the unseasonably warm temperatures Fremont County has been experiencing this week, record high temperatures were broken in both Lander and Riverton yesterday.

    Lander broke an almost 100 year record after recording a high of 65 degrees yesterday, with the previous record being 64 degrees in 1925.

    Riverton recorded a record high of 65 degrees as well yesterday, with the previous record being 63 in 2009.

    Riverton and Big Piney also recorded record temps on March 1st, with Riverton seeing 65 degrees (formerly 60 in 2008), and Big Piney at 50 degrees (formerly 49 in 1994).

    There were also record temps in Greybull at 66 degrees (formerly 60 in 2009), and Rock Springs at 59 degrees (formerly 58 in 2009), and Casper tied its record from 2009 at 64 degrees.
