Recent patient geeks out with the latest technology at Arrow Mountain Dental

Kevin Kershisnik, President of Pertech Resources, recently went in to Dr. Hauck at Arrow Mountain Dental due to a cracked molar causing him grief. He couldn’t believe how quick and nearly painless it was to get a permanent crown put on.

Kershisnik’s day-job consists of designing and developing and manufacturing printers, scanners and software. So naturally, he was pretty intrigued by the new crown machine (CEREC®) that was recently installed at Arrow Mountain Dental.

“The process was innovative, time efficient and incorporated the latest technology,” said Kevin of his recent experience. “Given today’s technology and automation, my crown was created real-time in the dentist office and permanently attached before I left his office.”

Say goodbye to unreliable, temporary crowns and painful days in waiting for your permanent crown to be created at an off-site lab! Using 3-D imaging, they are able to create an exact replica of your tooth, which will fit like a glove for years to come. Once the exact shape is determined, the crown is milled from a ceramic core on a high precision 4-axis milling machine, right there in the office!

After the restoration is made, it is ready to be tried on to ensure that you get proper fit and bite. When it is ready, the restoration is polished and bonded into place by your dentist. Therefore, no temporary restoration is needed and no return trip is necessary, saving you time and money.

“I could not detect a difference, except the crack and pain were gone,” said Kershisnik. “I was out the door to eat whatever I wanted.”

The CEREC® machine was created with the patient in mind in order to make a visit to the dentist as pain-free as possible. Some of the benefits include:

  • Most procedures can be done in one visit – less costly and less time-consuming
  • Less painful injections due to single-visit
  • No need to take messy impressions
  • No need to have a temporary restoration for in-between visits
  • Ability to save as much natural tooth structure as possible
  • Longer lasting restorations – may last over 10 years
  • Restores teeth to natural beauty, function and strength
  • Metal-free restorations

“It is great to see Dr. Hauck and his team investing in the latest and greatest technology for their patients in Riverton and the surrounding area. Hopefully you do not need a crown, but if you do I highly recommend the technical professionals at Dr. Hauck’s office.” – Kevin Kershisnik
