An 18-year-old Rawlins High School student died in a crash Saturday after a one-vehicle rollover near milepost 1 on Carbon County Road 340.
Cody Scott, who was driving the vehicle, died at the Memorial Hospital of Carbon County after being ejected from a passenger-car as the vehicle rolled. Four passengers were injured.
None of the vehicle’s occupants were wearing a seat belt.
According to KTWO-AM, the accident occurred at approximately 11:40 p.m. Saturday night. Speed is being investigated as a contributing factor.
The Rawlins High School soccer team posted a message on their Facebook page about Scott’s passing after the accident.
