    Public input meeting, new town attorney announced at Shoshoni Town Council session

    (Shoshoni, WY) – The Shoshoni Town Council governing body convened for its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 25th.

    Items discussed were budget information, Town Architect interviews, and logistics updates on the town ambulance service, which is currently looking into different funding avenues and aims to have a medical director named by the end of the month.

    The Council also set tomorrow, Wednesday, June 2nd, as the official date for the Shoshoni Master Plan Public Input Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to get citizen opinions for the ongoing Master Plan for the town, which is used to set future goals for the community as a whole.

    The meeting will take place at the Town Hall Plaza, at 5:30 PM. If you are unable to attend the meeting, any thoughts or suggestions can be submitted on the town website as well.

    The Council also announced the newly hired Town Attorney, Marshall Keller. Keller, an attorney out of Thermopolis, also has 17 years of experience in the military as a Navy SEAL, in both active and reserve positions.

    Mayor Joel Highsmith is very excited about Keller, who was recommended by Thermopolis Town Attorney Mike Messenger. “We needed someone who can focus on the town’s needs, and Marshall seems like the right guy for the job,” Highsmith stated.
