Pow Wow Dancers of the Wind River gallery reception happening at CWC on September 21st

(Riverton, WY) – The photography exhibit Pow Wow Dancers of the Wind River by Jeb Schenck is up now through October 13th at the Central Wyoming College Robert A. Peck Arts Center.

An opening reception has been planned for Tuesday, September 21st at 7 pm; COVID protocols will be in place during the event.

In this 30 photograph exhibit, Schenck, who resides in Thermopolis, focuses on individual pow wow dancers by removing the backgrounds. Something the eye can do, but not the camera, he noted.

He expressed appreciation to the dancers and business councils that provided guidance and suggestions in his photographing of pow wows. He hopes the dancers and their families will attend the opening reception Tuesday evening.

“This is a celebration of the dancers, not of my work,” he shared with County 10.

Learn more about Schenck’s work and his inspiration for this exhibit on Tuesday at 7 pm during the CWC opening reception in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center.
