    Pingora, a new path to successful substance use treatment

    Pingora Behavioral Health Clinic opened its door to clients just over a year ago is a service of Volunteers of America (VOA). Pingora’s mission is to provide quality substance abuse treatment, emphasizing in medication-assisted treatment to promote recovery from opioid addiction, when clinically appropriate.

    Their facility is located at 625 E Madison St. Ste. 1, in Riverton. Their helpful staff focuses their efforts on outreach and education. Specifically, they focus on bringing higher levels of care and safety to the community through safe, nurturing environments where men, women, and youth can learn new skills for responsible independent living and where healthy families can be developed and become self-sustaining.

    “For Pingora and VOA, the mission to help people is real,” explained their new clinician, Jeff Stone, LCSW. “It’s really what they’re about. Our treatment is people-focused for sure.”

    Pingora accomplishes its mission through the following services:

    • intensive outpatient, outpatient and aftercare substance use treatment
    • medication-assisted treatment to promote recovery from opioid addiction, when clinically appropriate
    • drug and alcohol assessments for the legal system
    • mental health evaluations and counseling
    • peer-to-peer support

    The program is committed to providing patients with the opportunity to live a sober, productive, and balanced life.
