Wyoming Office of Tourism launches Fly Your WY summer campaign for the second year in a row.

“Fly Your WY had great success last year,” said Michell Howard, senior director of brand strategy for the Wyoming Office of Tourism. “The campaign allows visitors and Wyomingites to explore great places throughout Wyoming while sharing their experiences with a wider audience.”

Wyoming Office of Tourism shares the following about the campaign:

  1. Pick up a That’s WY flag at distribution points throughout the state, including the Southeast Wyoming Welcome Center south of Cheyenne, select state parks, as well as local communities that include Laramie, Cody, Jackson, Pinedale, Kemmerer, Evanston, Lander, Ten Sleep, Casper, Buffalo, Sheridan, Douglas, Gillette, Sundance, Newcastle, Lusk, Torrington, Thermopolis, Wheatland, Rawlins, Green River and others.
  2. Snap a photo with the flag at your favorite locations around the state. Whether you are hiking Curt Gowdy State Park, horseback riding in the Absaroka Range or relaxing in hot springs in Thermopolis, WOT wants to see places from every corner of Wyoming.
  3. Post the photos to Instagram and Facebook with #FlyYourWY and #ThatsWY. Tag @VisitWyoming.

Users who use the hashtag when sharing photos will have opportunities to win weekly prizes from WOT on social media and to have their photos featured (with permission) on the Fly Your WY landing page.

This year, in addition to the weekly prizes, Fly Your WY is offering a road-trip contest. Participants will submit a custom 3-day Wyoming itinerary highlighting their favorite part of the state for the chance to win a 3-day trip to Wind River Country this January.

“We want to encourage a celebration of Wyoming’s epic experiences and majestic landscapes,” added Howard. “And having participants share their favorite things to do and see in Wyoming not only enters them for a grand prize, but it also allows Wyoming’s gems to be showcased by people who have experienced them.”
