Photos: Pavillion was Purple with Homecoming color Thursday afternoon

(Pavillion, Wyo.) – Fremont County Fire Protection District Battalion 7 at Pavillion was in action Thursday afternoon with nearly every piece of their apparatus. Instead of fighting a fire, they were throwing candy, letting the sirens scream, flying Old Glory and leading and bringing up the rear of the Wind River High School’s 2018 Homecoming parade. The Cougars play Wright at 6 p.m. Friday evening at Chiefs Intertribal Stadium at Ethete.

The East Pavillion Road from the Middle-High School, to the two northern blocks through “uptown”, was lined with parents, faculty, students, fans, friends and those lucky enough to be passing through town at 2:30 p.m.  It was a festive atmosphere with the Wind River Drum Line’s percussive float leading the beat and class floats throwing candy to the onlookers.
