(Johnstown, WY) – It was a windy evening for the ceremonial release of 15 bison that were gifted to the Northern Arapaho Tribe tonight, March 24th.
Attendees of all ages gathered to watch this momentous occasion as the Tribe’s herd grew to 40.
The turnoff on Blue Sky Highway to the Northern Arapaho Buffalo Grounds was marked with a sign made by Wyoming Indian students.
Rounding out the ceremony, Chairman Jordan Dresser and Councilwoman Kim Harjo thanked attendees for coming.
