PAWS Pet of the Week – Meet Violet!

Violet is true to her breed- we think she is a Heeler mix-she is high energy and wants to go, go, go. She is one of our longest residents because she just doesn’t show well in her kennel.

She loves water- last summer we put a kiddie swimming pool in her kennel, and she had a ball. We often had to refill it for her. She raised 5 pups in a barrow ditch until someone saw her and rescued her last Spring and brought her to us. She was a wonderful and protective Mama. Her biggest drawback is she doesn’t do well with other dogs. Most are put off by her energy.

She walks excellently on a leash. She has some of the best leash manners we’ve ever seen in a dog without obedience training. Help us share her story and maybe that will help her find a home! She truly deserves it. We think she is about 2 years old.
