Paws Pet of the Week: Meet Sugar

“Sugar is a Heeler mix that has lived a bit of a rough past. She has pins in her hip and a crooked jaw; we suspect she worked cattle at some point and got kicked. She did not do well here in the Shelter environment so has been with a foster.

She is house trained with the doggy door, needs a good secure yard as she wants to jump and wander, and is absolutely wonderful with dogs. She is being fostered with a medium and small dog. In fact, her foster says she would do best in a home with a bigger dog for company and to play with. She would do best in a home with older children that would respect her boundaries; especially as she has a bad hip and wouldn’t appreciate younger children jostling it. Her foster Mom has also enrolled and finished her with an obedience class with Mandy Apodaca-Nation at the Spotted Buffalo.

She is about 2 years old and is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and wormed.
