PAWS Pet of the Week – Meet Meela!

Meela is a 6-month-old Mix Breed pup. She was rescued by a family but they weren’t allowed to keep it because they were renting. They fostered her for a few days to make sure she wasn’t harboring any sicknesses and then brought her to us.

She is a sweet girl that just wants to be with her people. On her first day, she was anxious and barked quite a bit. She is settling in and the other dogs calmed her down. She was around children in her foster home and had no issues that we heard of. She isn’t potty trained, but as she is a puppy we think she can catch on really quick with someone to teach her and help her.

Just a friendly note: If you rent, please, please, get in touch with your landlord before trying to adopt. We have had several applicants this week that “thought ” their Landlords would approve them, but they have refused. We just don’t want to get people’s hopes up, and then have them be disappointed when the Landlord says no.

Paws for Life Animal League in Riverton’s lobby is now open and the schedule is Tuesday through Friday 12 to 5 pm, Saturday, 10 to 1 pm, and closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Stop by if you would like to meet Meela or any of our other adoptable animals, or call 857-6002 to schedule an appointment Tuesday through Saturday. You can also message their Facebook page to set an appointment up for a meet and greet.
