Kyah is a 1-year-old Pitbull mix. She came in as a stray that wasn’t reclaimed. Before us, we don’t think she had ever been on a leash and she had no manners.
She was a perfect candidate for the Honor Dog Program, so when a spot opened up, she was enrolled. She did great! They taught her how to walk on a leash, she was crate trained, house trained, socialized with other dogs and people, and learned basic commands, such as: sit, stay, off, down, and come.
She loves to go for walks and play. She is still very much a puppy at heart.
Paws for Life Animal League in Riverton’s lobby is now open and the schedule is Tuesday through Friday 12 to 5 pm, Saturday, 10 to 1 pm, and closed on Sundays and Mondays.
