PAWS Pet of the Week: Meet Chewie!

Chewie is a 1-year-old medium mixed breed. He came to us as an owner surrender. They just didn’t have time for him and he had some behavior issues they didn’t feel equipped to deal with and felt it best to find him a home that could help him become the best dog he could be.

He has lived with a little dog in his previous home and has been fostered with another dog during this time and is wonderful with them. His foster family has been working with him on his manners, and not jumping on people; also his recall, and teaching him to come when he is called. They have also stated he is the best snuggle buddy you could ask for. He is house trained, getting better with his leash manners, and good with everyone: dogs, cats, and people of all ages. He has also proven to be reliable if left outside of a crate by himself at home. He has destroyed the occasional sock but that is about it.

He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and wormed. He is also available to do a foster trial to make sure he is a good fit for the family as well. This is done with an approved application.
