    Pavillion murder suspect enters into plea agreement

    (Fremont County, WY) – Pavillion woman Bennilee Strock, who was originally charged with murder in the second degree after being accused of killing her husband on Christmas Eve last year, has entered into a plea agreement for voluntary manslaughter, under the filed statute W.S. 6-2-105(a)(i).

    The agreement was filed with the District Court in Lander on September 1st, and the change of plea hearing occurred on September 21st.

    Court documents dated September 30th indicate that “Pursuant to the plea agreement, the Defendant knowingly and voluntarily entered the plea of guilty, and the Court finds there is a factual basis for the Defendant’s plea.”

    At the hearing, overseen by the Honorable Judge Marvin Tyler, it was decided “that the defendant’s plea of guilty be conditionally accepted pending review of the Presentence Investigation Report.”

    Upon review of the Presentence Investigation Report, a sentencing hearing will be set in the forthcoming months.

    If convicted, Strock faces up to 20 years imprisonment.
